International Women's Day celebrated at Mangaluru Airport

Mangaluru, Mar 8: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Kalyanmayee, the women's welfare association functioning under Airports Authority of India conducted a day-long programme for staff, officials, CISF officers, women employees and passengers at the airport on Friday, March 8.

Hazel Concessao, co-ordinator Kalyanmayee and PA of Airport Director, Lakshmi, senior manager of Operations, Piyusha, assistant general manager, Communications, Yogitha Krishna, JE were present.

Dr Vinaya Poornima, associate professor, Radio diagnosis, KMC, Mangaluru gave a talk over maintaining general health for the women employees of MIA, CISF women employees and others. A cultural programme was held. Kalyanmayee president Sujana Rao presided over this event.



On the occasion Kalyanmayee members inaugurated new toilets constructed inside the airport.

As a part of celebration the Kalyanmayee members wished the lady passengers with roses and sweets. The control room and other technical departments were completely handled by women engineers and technicians on this auspicious day.
