TDP spokesperson files police complaint over trolling


Amaravati, Mar 9 (IANS): Telugu Desam Party (TDP) spokesperson Yamini Sadineni on Friday filed a police complaint against those who were trolling her and posting objectionable content against her on the social media.

In a complaint filed at the Pattabhipuram police station in Guntur, she sought action against those trying to defame her on the social media.

She said despite the cyber laws, some people were running a campaign to defame her by by trolling her and posting objectionable content against her on social media platforms.

Claiming that women leaders in all the parties were facing harassment on the social media, she sought stringent action against those violating cyber laws.

She alleged that some people managed to secure her cellphone number and posted the same on Facebook and Twitter. She said some unknown persons were harassing her by making calls even at midnight.

The TDP leader said she welcomed political criticism but would not tolerate if the rivals cross their limits.

A young entrepreneur, Yamini was appointed TDP spokesperson last year. She heads the IT company Shreeyam Group.
