Erdogan calls Modi, condoles deaths in terror attacks


New Delhi, Mar 12 (IANS): Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over telephone on Monday and expressed condolences for victims of recent terrorist attacks in India and wished speedy recovery to those injured.

Modi said that terrorism remains one of the gravest threats to global peace and security and underscored the importance of immediate, demonstrable, and irreversible action against terrorism by all countries concerned.

Forty CRPF personnel were killed in terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama last month, while two persons were killed and several others injured in a grenade attack at Jammu bus stand last week.
