Election Commission directive on Sabarimala illogical: BJP

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 12 (DC): Within hours of Chief Electoral Officer Teeka Ram Meena cautioning political
parties against using Sabarimala row for communal polarisation, BJP leaders termed it as ‘illogical’ and said there was nothing that prevented them from discussing State Government’s ‘inept’ handling of the situation obtaining after the Supreme Court verdict.

“It is 100 per cent that the stand taken by the (state) government on Sabarimala issue will be discussed in the elections. No one can interfere in it. It is illogical to say that the Sabarimala issue should not be discussed in the election," BJP state general secretary K. Surendran told reporters.

Former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan, tipped to be the BJP candidate in Thiruvananthapuram, said in New Delhi that the party cannot be prevented from discussing.

    This is the real colour of the saffron party. Directives which are favourable to it are hailed to the skies. Directives which curtail their freedom, are illogical. Indians must look through the intentions and motives of this fascist party.

    Stop using religion / Temple card for election for God Sake. Use development card, this applies for all political parties and religious leaders.

    Note: SIS group in Egypt and Syria started their campaign with region card and supported brotherhood party to emerge as a biggest national party, got majority and formed the Govt and from there the whole country started crumbling down ( The reason being they only spoke & concentrated on religion issues and not the development, you need to be educated to talk about development) Hence choose the right person as your Representative.
