Dehradun, Mar 12 (IANS): The Congress in Uttarakhand on Tuesday attacked the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, saying it failed to fulfil most of its promises, including controlling fuel prices.
"They promised to give Rs 15 lakh to everybody but not a penny came," State Congress President Pritam Singh said at a press conference here.
He added that the names of candidates for all the five Lok Sabha seats in the state will be announced soon.
In the press conference, former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dhani Lal Shah joined the Congress along with his supporters.
