Juvenile board rejects claim grenade thrower is 'adult'

Jammu, Mar 13 (IANS): The Juvenile Justice Board on Wednesday rejected a medical report that said that the militant who threw a grenade at the Jammu bus stand killing two persons was an adult.

Police had sought 10 days remand of the accused, Yasir Javaid Bhat, based on his bone and teeth medical tests which indicated that the accused was an adult.

Officials said the board rejected the police contention and instead sought all school records of the accused to decide his age.

Two people died and over 30 were injured in the grenade attack in the grenade attack on February 7.
