Mamata condoles Parrikar's death

Kolkata, Mar 18 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the death of her Goa counterpart Manohar Parrikar who passed away at his private residence.

"Saddened at the passing away of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar ji. He patiently endured his illness. Condolences to his family and his admirers," Banerjee said in a tweet.

The condition of Parrikar, 63, diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer in February last year and in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi and New York since then, had turned "extremely critical" on Sunday.
