Riyadh, Feb 24: Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came under a severe sandstorm on Monday February 23. It eventually spread to the eastern province like Al-Hassa, Dammam, Khobar and Jubail.
When people came out of their homes in the morning for going to their workplaces/ offices, they could see the atmosphere with sand rains spread all over. It has given the impression that they could see the matrix of dusk as they hardly see the crack of dawn. It was as if everything under the sun was covered with sand. People travelling on their vehicles had to switch on the headlights and hazard lights to avoid accidents.
Even the tall buildings were covered with sand. On an interesting note Meteorology & Environment Office situated near the King Khalid international airport was hardly visible as it was also not exempted by the nature. ATC tower and other buildings of Riyadh international airport including the airstrip were not seen at all.
In short, the whole atmosphere got contaminated with the sandy substances spread far and wide. As it is reported, this type of climatic change would cause health problem especially for children. It was quite visible that nature plays different games to subdue the men, who most of the times venture to restrain the nature.
