Abu Dhabi, Feb. 25: Indian Community Kindergarten (ICK - formerly ILA), Abu Dhabi’s prominent Kindergarten School, celebrated its spectacular 31st Annual Day at the Abu Dhabi Indian School Auditorium recently attended by dignitaries, parents and well wishers.
The sparkling event, commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran by Uzma Naushad followed by Welcome Song by Senior KG students
It was a visual treat when the tiny tots performed brilliantly on stage depicting various educative themes vividly presented by the children between the age group of 3 – 4 years.
The tiny tots were trained by the dedicated teachers of ICK School, which has created a niche for itself through its exceptional training the toddlers.
The programme included variety of dances and skits namely, Medley of Nursery Rhymes, Kuruvi, Babafain, Unity in Diversity, The shoe maker and the Eves – the skit, Disco Jugalbandi, Madambi, Kohli Dance, Advertisement etc., which was applauded by the packed audience consisting of parents, guests and well wishers. There were about 400 children performing on the stage – an exceptional accomplishment by itself, which shows the level of training this institution imparts.
The eye-catching event was brilliantly performed and took the audience into a trance, such was the electrifying effect of the visual treat on stage.
Prof. Dr. Abdullah Hussain Dawood Al Azdi – Ex-Minister of Plenipotentiary and UAE’s prominent personality was the guest of Honour. In his presidential speech appreciated the achievement of the school and his love for India. He also commended the school management and teachers for their effort in shaping the young toddlers for the better future.
In her speech Mrs. Sylvia Pais – the current dynamic Principal, who has held this position since the last 28 years thanked parents and her devoted staff for their co-operation in molding the tiny toddlers.
During the occasion the outstanding students were also honoured .
The dazzling function which kept the audience spellbound concluded with the National Anthem.
ICK as always kept its time by starting the event on the dot at 5 p.m. and concluded at 7 p.m - which is commendable and proving itself being one of the excptional schools in Abu Dhabi.
