Mangaluru, Mar 21: Expert Sayonara a farewell programme to bid adieu to the fourth outgoing batch of second PU students of Expert P U College Valachil was held at the cultural centre of the campus.
Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions in his presidential address to the students reiterated that sincere and dedicated efforts will never go waste. Great things are achieved when we are not in the comfort zone. He also urged the students to be focused toward realization of their goals and to face the upcoming competitive exams.
Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Expert Pre-University College addressed the students and appreciated their dedication, hard work and discipline during the last two years. He advised them to follow good values they have inculcated in the campus throughout their life.
Prizes and awards to the outstanding students and to winners of the NASA travel journal competition and photo contest were distributed.
Bhuvan Veere Gowda Belemaranahalli was adjudged ‘Expert Super Star’ of the outgoing students. R Chinmay received prize as the most focused student. Ankith Vishal Pandith was awarded for excellence in academics and socially useful productive works. Adline Riya Braggs received award for her excellence in non-scholastic activities.
Later students’ representatives shared their experiences and expressed profound gratitude to the institution.
Nikitha Amin, the cultural co-ordinator welcomed the gathering. Jasmine Prathibha the student welfare officer for girls proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was compered by Shwetha Suvarna HOD of English, Dr Narayana Kudva U from the department of Chemistry and Anitha P Shetty from the department of English. Vice Principal Raghavendra Shenoy, the student council president Prasad Prabhu and secretary BhoomikaR Prasad were present on the occasion.
