Teaser of Suriya produced ‘Uriyadi 2’ released


Chennai, Mar 23 (IANS): The teaser of Tamil star Suriya produced upcoming political action-thriller "Uriyadi 2" was released on Saturday at the films audio launch.

"Uriyadi", which released in 2016 and revolves around four happy-go-lucky college students getting embroiled in politics.

Speaking at the audio launch, Suriya said that the sequel will not just "entertain" but "disturb" and "shake" audiences.

He also said that he takes pride in producing "Uriyadi 2" under 2D Entertainment banner.

The 43-second action-packed teaser explains the need behind youngsters taking part in politics to bring about a change in the society.

Directed by Vijay B Kumar, who has also played the titular role, "Uriyadi 2" also stars Vismaya, Sudhakar, Shankar and Abbas.

Govind Vasantha, who shot to fame with "96", has composed the music for the film.

At the audio launch, it was announced that "Uriyadi 2" will be a summer release.

At the launch of the project, executive producer Rajsekar Pandian told IANS: "We are always on the lookout for subjects that are both entertaining and carry a social message.

"When we met Vijay and were casually talking about a possible collaboration, he mentioned that he had a sequel idea to ‘Uriyadi' in mind. The sequel will carry a strong social message, just like the first part."
