Mangaluru: Unity Academy of Education holds Graduation Day

Mangaluru, Mar 23: The graduation ceremony of the 15th& 16th batch of BSc(N), diploma awarding ceremony of 2nd & 3rd natch of Paramedical students and annual day of Unity Academy of Education was held in a grand manner at Urwa Church Hall, Ladyhill, on March 20.

Dr M Vijayakumar, vice chancellor, Yenepoya University (Deemed to be University) was the chief guest, Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, syndicate member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru and Dr Larissa Martha Sams, principal, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Mangaluru were the guests of honour. Dr C P Habeeb Rahman, chairman, Unity Academy of Education presided over the function.

Dr Raja A, principal read out the annual report of the academic year. Prof G Chithra, vice principal welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering.



Rosy Leena Rego, nursing superintendent of Unity Hospital administered the oath to the students.

Dignitaries awarded 65 students of Nursing and Paramedical courses. The students who excelled in their academic performance were honoured during this programme. Anjitha Shaji secured overall 8th rank in 1st year BSc (N) & 10th rank in the final year BSc(N) examination conducted by RGUHS in September 2018 and 15 students secured subject wise Rajiv Gandhi University ranks in various subjects in BSc Nursing examinations.

Over 600 guests, family and friends attended the ceremony to share in the success of the graduates.

Priya Fernandes, assistant professor, delivered the vote of thanks.

The formal ceremony was followed by an entertainment programme by the students.
