BJP denies Joshi ticket, asks not to contest

Kanpur, Mar 26 (IANS): Bharatiya Janata Party veteran Murali Manohar Joshi will not contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from anywhere as he has been denied a party ticket.

In a letter to the people of Kanpur, Joshi said: "Dear people of Kanpur, General Secretary of the BJP Ramlal conveyed to me today that I should not contest the ensuing parliamentary election from Kanpur and elsewhere."

Joshi is one of the founding members of the BJP, along with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani.

The BJP has also denied a ticket to Advani and replaced him with party President Amit Shah from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat.

Advani has represented Gandhinagar for six time since 1991. Vajpayee has also represented the Gandhinagar in 1996.

Joshi, 85, had left his Varanasi seat for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He then won the 2014 elections from Kanpur.

The ideology differs from party to party and one should not mock at any party. The BJP currently thinks that these veterans are too old and youngsters should be given in a chance. Congress to has its own agenda MMS is not contesting . Sonia is contesting despite being not well. RaGa is contemplating to contest from 2 places that too after 30 defeats. So lets not poke fingers at anyone.

Reason is simple. MMS will surely lose his deposit if he contests from any where. Sonia may win out of great difficulty . At the end, the family enterprise needs to be alive. So RaGa is contesting from Amethi and Wayanad in Kerala.

BJP speaks always like they are the custodians of Hindutva and all they do is for preserving cultural identity of India. All seen the way BJP goons attacking and pushing around from what they eat, who they talk to, what they wear etc.

But, the same BJP has not shamed to dis-respect the top leaders of their own party, who founded the party itself. They have not gone astray, they have not gone against the parties constitution. Yet, they are to be ashamed in this way, then the normal BJP party worker will be like mosquito for these Modi-Amit leadership.

Do not be so negative always. Learn to see the positive things in life.
Do you know what is common between Advani, Joshi, Uma Bharathi and Sakshi Maharaj? All were denied tickets this time. Anything else in Common? All have contributed to whatever possible to their extent to communal disharmony in the country.
Advani and Joshi are responsible to create the current wall between Indian Hindus and Indian Muslims by demolishing Babri Masjid. Uma and Sakshi have continuously spit venom to incite communal disturbances. I see sidelining all these hardcore elements is a very good step by BJP.

If BJP sheds it's communal side, it is the perfect party to rule India for another 50 years.

It is none of anyone's business to ask the rules of any party. If you r not happy don't join or vote for that party.
