Udupi: Kallianpur Milagres Eng Med School holds innovative election awareness drive

Udupi, Mar 27: Milagres Educational Institutions is well known for innovation and creativity. This year it has also taken up ‘Election Awareness Drive’ through the medium of art, rangoli and exhibition.

Known as the active club of this academic year, ‘Awareness Club’ & ‘Art Club’ started the awareness drive from March 21 and took the initiative long with the help of students organized a one week exhibition on information related to Election that will be held in the country.

Various art and paintings have been drawn to communicate to students about the importance of election and the right to vote. This will be displayed in the school up to April 5.

“Creating awareness in students is important and art carries a stronger message to parents through their children than words. This will help higher turn out on voting day because children will remind their parents,” says Fr Lancy Fernandes, principal of Milagres School.

Staff members Cecilia, co-coordinator of Awareness Club, art teachers Pallavi Bhat and Volita were instrumental in spearheading this drive along with students of awareness club.
