2 hurt in clashes with security forces in Kulgam


Srinagar, Mar 28 (IANS): Two youth were injured on Wednesday in clashes with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.

According to the police, the condition of the injured youth was stated to be stable. Both of them have been shifted to Srinagar's Bone and Joint Hospital for specialised treatment.

According to reports, the two youth, identified as Suhail Bhat and Faizan Ahmed, were injured in Kuger village in Kulgam district during clashes with the security forces after a cordon and search operation was launched in the area by the security personnel.

Gurinderpal Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kulgam, confirmed that the police have received reports that two youth sustained pellet injuries even as the locals claimed that the two sustained gunshot injuries.

The police were investigating how the two youth got injured.
