Waseem Rizvi booked for 'disgraceful' remarks against Priyanka Gandhi

Faizabad, Mar 28 (TOI): Shia Waqf Board chairman Waseem Rizvi was booked on Wednesday for derogatory remarks against Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Addressing a press conference in Faizabad on Wednesday, Rizvi had said, "Priyanka is beautiful. If she had come in politics earlier I would have offered her a role in my upcoming movie 'Ram Janambhoomi."

The case was lodged by Youth Congress leader Sharad Shukla.

Congress leader and former UPCC chief Nirmal Khatri said, "It was BJP which had appointed Rizvi as Shia Waqf Board chairman. The very party that talks of 'nari samman'. Rizvi's remarks against Priyankaji are disgraceful. If BJP has got any moral value then it should immediately sack Rizvi from his post and tender an apology."

Station House Officer Faizabad Vinod Babu Mishra said Rizvi has been booked under Sections 354 and 309 of IPC.

Good move of booking him for disgraceful remark!
Matured person should know to think, speak and behave sensibly and should be just and reasonable!
Otherwise he will encounter problems for himself and others everywhere!
