PM Modi mocks K Chandrasekhar Rao for belief in astrology

Hyderabad, Mar 30 (DC): Criticising Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for advancing the Assembly elections in the state and putting a financial burden on the people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it was done on the advice of an astrologer.

Addressing his first meeting in this election season in Telangana state at Bhootpur in Mahbubnagar district on Friday, Mr Modi said, “It is time for Telangana people to decide if they want their future to be decided by an astrologer.”

He said that although the people of Mahbubnagar have supported Mr Rao wholeheartedly, the Chief Minister has done little for this area and has just helped his own family members like his son, nephew and others.

He said Mr Rao held Assembly elections earlier than scheduled because he was told that Mr Modi's star would be on the ascendant in April/May 2019.

Accusing the TRS government of appropriating Centre’s schemes as its own, he appealed to people to vote for D.K. Aruna from Mahbubnagar and Bangaru Shruthi from Nagarkurnool.

Bhakths in a dilemma now, whether to support PM, calling astrology mumbo jumbo, if they do it's against our culture, heritage etc etc.. Baba Ramdev also posed a similar dilemma some time back , dismissing Vastu as pseudo science..

If PM Modi doesn't believe in Astrology it's good.
However, he is criticizing Telangana CM Chandrashekhar Rao for belief in Astrology but didn't criticize BSY.
Same way party people are spared in corruption, whereas opposition parties are targetted. This is dual standard.

“We can feel proud of what our country achieved in medical science at one point of time,” the prime minister told a gathering of doctors and other professionals at a hospital in Mumbai on Saturday. “We all read about Karna in the Mahabharata. If we think a little more, we realize that the Mahabharata says Karna was not born from his mother’s womb. This means that genetic science was present at that time. That is why Karna could be born outside his mother’s womb.” - Narendra Modi on 28/10/2014 ...
