New Delhi, Mar 30 (IANS): Congress spokesman Sanjay Jha's attempt to mock Prime Minister Narendra Modi backfired when he was taken to task for making an apparently sexist remark.
On Thursday, Jha tweeted: "He has white hair. But he sounds more like a blonde."
"Blonde" used to be the butt of all jokes in the US for presumably being a brainless creature -- a somewhat derogatory reference to a woman.
Reshmi Dasgupta chided Jha tweeting: "And what do you mean by a 'blonde'? Where did you pick up this outdated piece of American sexism? Watching re-runs of 1970s American serials on your computer?"
Another Twitter user Kiran wrote back: "Sexist remark Sanjay. Please avoid."

Another user, Rishi Bagree, shared pictures of Congress leaders Salman Khurshid, Kapil Sibal and Sam Pitroda -- all of whom have white hair.
One user Krishna shared a meme in which Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad was purportedly telling Jha: "Matlab mein jail me hoon toh kuchh bhi bolega ka be."
