Congress to discuss Lt Gen Hooda's National Security report: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Mar 31 (IANS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said a comprehensive report on India's national security has been presented to him by Lt. General (Retd.) D.S. Hooda.

"This exhaustive report will at first be discussed and debated within the Congress party. I thank him and the team for their effort," he tweeted.

Hooda, the former Army Northern Command chief who directed the 2016 cross-LoC surgical strikes, would be heading a task force on national security at the behest of the Congress.

The decision was announced by the Congress in February after a meeting between Gandhi and Hooda.

India has achieved almost every strategic military goals in the last 70years. It is also one of the most trusted brand. It is one of finest, disciplined and talented, yet, there are shortcomings within it. It is a progression to perfection, is evolution.

It runs in parallel with the great history of Congress, which certainly done its best in sophisticating our Defense.

Within neighborhood, wars of future shall be short and with large destruction to human life and nature. At-least it will take 100years even for a absolute winner to re-build itself.

Therefore, there shall always be covert operations, pushed through terror. India has to find better Technics, improve social networking within the country and finally, work identifying fault lines in advance. Hope to see such plans emerge in the future.
