South India feels neglected by Modi: Rahul

New Delhi, Apr 2 (IANS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday that he had decided to contest also from Kerala because south India feels "hostility" from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Asked why he was also being fielded by his party from Wayanad in Kerala apart from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, Gandhi told the media here: "South India feels hostility from Narendra Modi... They feel they have not been included in decision making."

He said his candidature would send out a message that "we are with you, I am with you... This is the message."

When a journalist queried about lack of alliances in some states, Gandhi said the Congress had teamed up with allies in Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

"We have alliances across the country. I don't know which newspapers you are reading."

South India not only feels neglected by the Modi Sarkar and feels alienenated also with the repeated attempts made by Modi, Amit Shah and the BJP to divide people by polarising them and indulging in Divisive politics.

People are fed up also with the Jhumla Politics of the BJP and the recourse to lies and falsehoods to further their agenda.

Actually am amused to see this statement by Raul. In reality it is Congress that has neglected South & lost Badly. Come to ponder over this:
    1) Kerala was ruled by Congress till last two years, now lost to CPM
    2) Andhra was ruled by YSR of Congress till 2014, then lost to TDP
    3) Telengana was lost last year yet again to TRS, not only that Congress fared poorly in polls
    4) K'NATAKA was ruled by Congress with 123 seats, last year it lost polls, became 78 seats and gave CM to 37 seat JDS. Today Congress playing second fiddle in K'NATAKA
In all above states, other than K'NATAKA, BJP has nothing to loose, only to gain.
Lastly Tamil Nadu, yes, here Congress is in same condition like BJP, having last ruled the state before Raul was born, in 1969 Congress lost power. Its a sad story there.

ACTUALLY the cause of your 'amusement' is due to your ignorance of the fact that states are not independent entities but they are integral part of the single entity called Union of India and the central government headed by the prime minister is expected to render an unbiased governance over the entire union, different party affiliations of different states notwithstanding.

Actually you should inform this to Raul. He's the one who made this statement. Congress has everything to loose, but does not care. BJP has nothing to loose in South of India, only to gain.
