Amit Shah holds massive road show in Bangalore South

Bengaluru, Apr 3 (IANS): BJP President Amit Shah held a massive road show in Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday night to campaign for the party candidate Tejasvi Surya.

Braving hot and humid conditions, about 5,000 party cadres, including women, accompanied Shah's convoy on foot, motorbikes and cycles as the procession wound its way through Banashankari area in the city's southern suburb.

Party's state unit leaders, including B.S. Yeddyurappa, Tejaswini Ananth Kumar and Surya stood along Shah atop the hi-tech bus, customised for electioneering across the southern state.

Addressing the crowds who gathered in hundreds en route, Shah said the party fielded young Surya to contest from the high-profile parliamentary seat in view of the demographic dividend the constituency has with lakhs of techies employed in IT firms like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS living in the area.

Waving party flags, sporting saffron placards and raising slogans in favour of Surya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yeddyurappa, the BJP leaders urged the gathering to vote for the party's lotus symbol on the ballot box.

As the 10 p.m. deadline to stop campaign was nearing, Shah and his entourage made a quick exit from the venue.

Bangalore South will go to polls on April 18 with 13 others of the state's 28 constituencies. Polling to the other 14 will be held on April 23. Vote count is on May 23.

This may be the last Joy ride that Amit Shah will have in Bangalore.

Amit Shah you need to respond to all this.

"This government has been a failure on all fronts and has inflicted pain and misery on the people through its reckless decisions of demonetisation and hasty imposition of a flawed GST, demonetization and GST disrupted the economy, trade and industry, led to closure of lakhs of factories and tens of millions of workers lost their jobs and livelihood. The unprecedented joblessness, agrarian crisis and distress of farmers and agricultural laborers are issues of grave national concern. The Modi government is guilty of monumental mismanagement of the Indian economy.

No accountability at all for corruption during the last five years. Corruption has become rampant across the country. After the next Govt is formed all the skeletons in the BJP vast array of hidden cupboards will be exposed including the Rafale Scam.

Modi Sarkar Ko Hatao. Desh Ko Bachao. They should be made accountable for over 100 deaths in ATM Ques after the Demoitisation.

Massive road show. What a joke. 5000 participants. This 2019 election, No Ram Mandir, No sabke saath sabka vikas, no employment speech, no black money but only jumla, and dividing people on the basis of religion, This is the classic way of BJP canvassing.

Their main concern as the Feku No 2 says is "the high-profile demographic dividend the constituency has with the presence of lakhs of techies employed in IT firms like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS living in the area". So their concern is how could they loot more and become rich for themselves. These are not my words but their own. So dear voters, be careful and vigilant. Don't allow yourselves to be used or taken for a ride by the fekus. Their only aim is to loot and enrich themselves. God save this nation!
