15 kg IED recovered from Maoist area in Jharkhand


Ranchi, Apr 3 (IANS): The security forces on Tuesday recovered improvised explosive device (IED) and other explosives in Jharkhand's Giridih district, police said on Wednesday.

Around 15 kg IED, hundreds of cartridges, Maoist literature and other explosives were recovered in a search operation, conducted jointly by the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), in Mohanpur jungle near Parasnath Hill of the Giridih district on Tuesday night, police said.

The explosives were to be used by the Maoists during the Lok Sabha polls in the state, police said.
