Four farm house burglars arrested in Delhi


New Delhi, Apr 3 (IANS): Police said on Wednesday they had busted a gang which burgled farm houses in Delhi, arresting its four members while they were loading robbed goods into a van here.

Narayan, 23, Arjun, 21, Satish, 19, and Deepak, 18, residents of a slum, were taken into custody on Tuesday night in Fatehpur Beri in south Delhi.

"Hearing noises in farm house, a security guard went to check what was going on and found the gang loading looted goods. Seeing the guard, the burglars tried to escape," Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said.

Police personnel later caught the criminals with the guard's help.

"The accused disclosed that they were involved in many such burglaries in farm houses," the officer added.
