Nitish Kumar was desperate to rejoin Mahagathbandhan: Lalu Yadav's upcoming book denotes

New Delhi, Apr 5: In his autobiographical account 'From Gopalganj to Raisina’, the Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD ) chief, Lalu Yadav claimed that Nitish Kumar was desperate to join Mahagathbandhan. He mentions in the book that 6 months after joining BJP, Nitish Kumar had sent his political strategist Prashant Kishor five times to meet him and hold talks on Nitish's re-entry in the grand alliance and that Lalu rejected the proposal.

In his defence, Prashant Kishor rubbished Lalu’s claim and tweeted, “The claims made by Laluji as reported are BOGUS. This is nothing but a poor attempt seeking relevance by a leader whose best days are behind him. Yes, we did meet many times before I joined JDU, but if I were to tell what all was discussed then he would be quite embarrassed.”

Justifying his claim, Lalu Yasdav says he rejected the offer because Nitish Kumar had broken his trust to defeat Rashtriya Janata Dal from the coalition government in Bihar. “Nitish Kumar cannot be trusted again,” writes Lalu Yadav.
