Additional police observer for 1st phase Bengal polls

Kolkata, Apr 5 (IANS): An additional police observer has been appointed for two parliamentary constituencies in West Bengal that go to the polls in the first phase on April 11, an official said on Friday.

"Earlier Vinod Kumar was in charge of both the constituencies. Now Alok Kumar Roy, an IPS officer of 1991 batch, has been appointed for Coochbehar (SC) constituencies," Additional Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Basu told the media here.
