New Delhi, Apr 6 (IANS): Union Minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on Saturday asked Congress President Rahul Gandhi to maintain decorum in his speeches following his remarks on BJP veteran L.K. Advani.

"Rahulji -- Advaniji is our father figure. Your words have hurt us deeply. Please try to maintain some decorum of your speech," she tweeted.

Targeting the Prime Minister, Gandhi on Friday said Narendra Modi always claims that senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani is his "guru", but Modi has never respected him and virtually driven him out of the party.

"The BJP has no culture of respecting its senior leaders. Hinduism has a rich tradition of 'Guru-Shishya' but today those who speak of Hindutva have no regard for their party elders," Gandhi has said.

    Sushmaji please teach some decorum to your boss. Modi........still Rahul's language is much much more decent....but sometime when you fail to understand they need to tell you in your own language.
    But during former PM Vajpajee BJP language was much more decent -except some hate speeches here and there by some remote leaders.

    Rahul may be kid at that time...but he should know that present congress (i) is splinter group of Original congress..its not Congress which faught for independence...Indira Ganghi split Congress twice, throwing out seniors of Original Congress... gone!..how you treated party president Kesari, check the hungama in party office how he thrown out..what happnd to PV Narisamha rao..Natwar lal, Mukherjee, Pawar, Sangma...are they are not party seniors!!..

    Sushmaji.. the video of disrespecting Advaniji came to public viewing before four years. Modi walked past Advaniji without acknowledging 'Namaste' of the senior leader. If that's not enough, Omit Shah threw Advaniji out of Gandhinagar and is contesting from there himself.

    You are wise enough to voluntarily not contest. Else your fatte too would have been same as Advaniji. Don't teach Rahul about your respect for the senior leader, you teach Modi first.

    Madam Sushma, please note that the policy you are talking about should be applicable to all the political parties and all the political leaders and not just Rahul Gandhi. First listen to the election speeches of ruling party and advice them as well.
