Rons Bantwal chosen president of Kannadiga Journalists Association Maharashtra

Mumbai, Apr 8: The new office bearers of Maharashtra Kannadiga Journalists Association for the term 2019-21were elected at a meeting of the association held at Bandra here.

Rons Bantwal was chosen as the new president of the association while Ashok K Suvarna was chosen as honorary general secretary. Both these elections were unanimous.

Ranga S Poojary was elected as vice president, Nagesh Poojary Elinje as honorary treasurer, Raveendra Shetty Talipady as honorary secretary, Jayaram N Setty as joint secretary, Dr G P Kusuma as joint treasurer, Dr Shiva Mudigere as working president of Journalists Bhavan Committee and Dr Dinesh Shetty Renjala, Vishwanath V Poojary Niddody, Nagaraj K Devadiga, Anita P Poojary Taccode, Ashok R Devadiga, Preetam N Devadiga and Jayant K Suvarna as members of the working committee.

Chartered accountant, I R Shetty, advocate, B Mohiddin Mundkoor, Dr R K Shetty, advocate, Rohini J Salian, Dr Suneeta M Shetty, Dr Suresh N Rao Kateel, Gregory D'Almeida, Pandit Naveenchandra R Sanil, Surendra A Poojary Kadandale, Suresh S Bhandary, and Sudhakar Uchil were chosen as members of the advisory committee. Lawyer, Vasant N Kalakoti, Dayanand Salian, Gopal Trasi, Kusuma C Poojary and Karunakar V Shetty were elected as special invitee members.

Advocate, Prakash Shetty and I R Shetty, who were the chief election officers, were thanked by the newly elected committee. On this occasion, advocate, Mohidin Mundkoor, donated Rs 50,000 to the journalist members’ health fund through the new president.

Ashok Suvarna welcomed.
