Mangaluru, Apr 8: XVI Annual Lions Convention ‘Vandana’ of Lions Dist 317 D was held on April 6 and 7, 2019 at Bejai Church Hall in the presence of over 800 Lions delegates from 4 revenue districts of South Kanara, Kodagu, Hassan and Chikkamagaluru. Lions dist governor K Devadas Bhandary presided over the function. M Venkatesh, managing director ONGC-MRPL was the chief guest.
The election for the post of dist governor, first vice dist governor and second vice dist governor for the year 2019-2020 was held during the convention. Lion Ronald Gomes from Lions Club Mangaladevi was elected as district governor, Lion Dr Geethaprakash from Lions Club Vittal was elected as first vice dist. governor and Lion Vasanth Shetty from Lions Club Bantwal was elected as second vice dist governor.
Lion Ronald Gomes is the managing director of Sunray Solar Systems, Mangaluru. He is the past president of RACHANA-Catholic Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
