Bantwal: Two sisters on way to hospital die after car rams into auto rickshaw

Bantwal, Apr 8: In an unfortunate incident, two sisters who were on their way to a hospital died after a car hit their auto rickshaw near Sajipa here on Monday April 8.

The deceased have been identified as Zainaba(45) and Zohra (55) from Manchi.

Car driver Mohammed Siraj and auto rickshaw driver Ashraq sustained serious injuries.

 

The accident occured when the sisters were heading towards a hospital in Chelur in an auto rickshaw. The car in an attempt to overtake another vehicle lost control and hit the auto rickshaw approaching from the opposite direction. The sisters breathed their last on the way to hospital.

Both the injured drivers have been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Bantwal traffic ASI Manjunath and staff visited the spot and a case has been registered with Bantwal traffic police.

    There is no rule for overtaking in India,
    Specially 2 wheelers overtake aat any side and anytime without any indications,if hit the vehicle they blame 4 wheeler can't he see a what? like that!

    What a tragic condition of the auto rickshaw! God save the world. People grown impatient and blind to the world. If only he had seen what is in front the driver wouldn't have ventured such rash driving but sometimes time is too bad to asess what is in front. May the injured recover soon and both sisters rest in peace. Very saď indeed.

    RIP. If we see the way we drive, overtaking on sharp corners, that too keeping the vehicle on opposite side, least cautious about would be oncoming vehicle, is nothing but irresponsible and idiotic driving. I wonder, whether these drivers go to any driving school, or get their licenses on-line or in a holiday fair.

    Very tragic.and sad.Not having control means high speed without looking right and left. Heartfelt sympathys to the deceased family May the sisters soul rest in peace.Hope the drivers get well soon.Punish the driver of the car and pay heavy compansation to the family of sisters.
