Bengaluru: Non-payment of salary - employees kidnap firm owner

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Apr 9: In a strange incident which happened at the Silicon City here, the owner of a concern was abducted by his own employees. It is learnt that the owner had failed to disburse salary to them.

Sujay, owner of Infotech Software Company based at Halasur here was kidnapped by his own employees. Sujay had failed to pay salaries to his employees since the last three months. In this backdrop, the employees had abducted him after inviting him for talks on the issue of salary disbursement. He was then confined to a farm house at Maddur.

During the period he was kept there, Sujay promised to disburse salary arrears to the employees. Thereafter, the four employees who had kidnapped him dropped him off at his residence. After reaching home, Sujay, who was overtaken by emotions, tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital but he went missing from there.

It is alleged that the employees have kidnapped him again. The personnel of Halasur police station have registered a case, and arrested the four people who had kidnapped Sujay earlier, identified as Sanjay, Rakesh, Niranjan, and Darshan. But even after their arrest, the whereabouts of Sujay could not be ascertained by them.

Please tell me how GST has affected your business. I am a businessman & i can vouch GST has nothing to do with this, in fact it has curbed nuisance of Inspector raj as well as has transparent exemptions of 20 lakh to 40 lakh no tax. In 2013 itself due to corruption & policy paralysis 5 lakh jobs were lost. Today there is no demand in market for goods due to global slowdown which is real reason. Students studying abroad too r returning due to no jobs except small %. And Gulf you know better. 28% of population cannot run this country by paying tax, has 2b combined effort if we r to become top economy. Today all want govt jobs freebies.

IN RESPONSE TO TRAILING COMMENT :
Please be aware there are so many companies in Bangalore and most of the companies are now performing well and no problem in monthly disbursement of salaries to all employees. Such rare cases may be present everywhere and this doesn't have any relation with the present government policies.
If you are sure about your statement, please come out with the data which IT companies are not able to pay because of govt. policies and how the condition was better before 2014?

First time in 70 years, no business after Demo by Namo. PM says Congress responsible for suffering of middle class but BJP and NDA responsible for ruining the country. Drunkard will destroy a home. But tea vendor will destroy country.

We hear lot of firms and companies not paying salaries and escaping from the liability.

This is a grave injustice to employees who have worked for salary and who and his/her family are dependent on that.

Actually it they who are affected.

How can the owner escape from that liability?

Fighting legally is a lengthy step and involves considerable legal costs.

Kidnapping is not correct but they took this step probably they are left with no other remedy.

I am sure he is hiding somewhere. No need of to worry..Now he wants that the people to be punished he must have named the persons and fear they will abduct him again, hiding.Such people will not come to the front ,might be in a shock .So let him overcome his shock. It needs some time. But why did he not pay the salary.for workers. They too need to live and support familys.Have to pay school fees.Noone will give them free because they didnt get salary. No wonder employees are get worry baout their jobs, but it doesnt justify for their abduction of their chief. It shouldnt be done and have to clear it with normal ways or legal ways.
