Supreme court order on review of Rafale verdict on Wednesday

New Delhi, Apr 9 (IANS): The Supreme Court will on Wednesday pronounce its order on the government plea claiming privilege over the documents submitted by petitioners seeking review of its December 14, 2018 Rafale judgment.

The government has sought junking of the plea filed by former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha, journalist-turned-politician Arun Shourie and activist-lawyer Prashant Bhushan.

The government has claimed privilege over and removal of the documents that were relied upon by the three in their review plea.

The government has contended that photocopies of the original documents were unauthorisedly taken and it was being investigated.

On March 14, the order on the petition filed by Sinha, Shourie and Bhushan was reserved.

On Wednesday, there would be two judgments -- one by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and the other by Justice K.M. Joseph.
