New Delhi, Apr 11: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir issued an alert on Wednesday April 10 saying a white-colour Scorpio car laden with IED is likely to carry out a Fidayeen (suicide) attack in the next two-three days.
Earlier, 40 CRPF jawans were killed in a Fidayeen attack that took place on February 14 when a car full of IED rammed into a CRPF bus.
According to India Today report released few hours back, the notice issued by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir addressed to various senior police and security officers says the vehicle bore registration number JK03E-3431 and is from the state's Kulgam district.
Based on reliable inputs the notice also reports a possible Fidayeen attack, but the location where the attack is likely to take place is unknown.
"Intelligence input further reveals that two guides are detailed for execution of the task," the notice reads.
Ground units were asked to be on alert to ensure that adequate safety measures are taken and nakas (checkpoints) are set up at strategic locations.
"Units will have surprise nakas even away from cities/towns and on route to interior villages. All precautions will be taken and physical barriers will be set up at strategic points to avoid any untoward incident," the notice reads.
