Left, Congress failed Kerala, give BJP a chance: PM

Kozhikode (Kerala), Apr 12 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a broadside on his party's political rivals in Kerala and said it was time the people of the state gave Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a chance.

"For decades the Communist CPI-M and the communal Congress have failed Kerala. The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) are different only in name as both have taken turns to loot the state. The BJP-led NDA presents an alternative which will serve each and every citizen," Modi told a mammoth Vijay Sankalp rally here.

This was the Prime Minister's first election rally in the state, after which he left for Tamil Nadu.

Attacking the Left and the Congress, Modi pointed out that both had double standards. "Look at their position on triple talaq. Those who are caught in the ice cream parlour case and the solar scam are speaking about women's empowerment," he said.

Referring to the Sabarimala temple issue, he said: "It's very bad that believers who protested were caned. Centuries-old tradition and faith will not be allowed to be destroyed. As long as the BJP is there, the force of the LDF and the farce of the UDF will not work. I assure you that our party will be there to protect our culture."

Modi also assured his party workers that their work will not go in vain. "Just look at what happened in Tripura. From a bare presence, we have now formed the government there and the same will happen in Kerala," he added.

    Modi Ji your divisive agenda will not work in Kerala or for that matter in South India. People have seen through your sinster plan to divide society to safeguard your chair. Kerala as Brend Karat has said you must give a resounding reply to these dark forces so that they will never again raise cast their evil eyes on Kerala. Make sure all the BJP candidates loose their deposits in Kerala.

    "This government has been a failure on all fronts and has inflicted pain and misery on the people through its reckless decisions of demonetisation and hasty imposition of a flawed GST, demonetization and GST disrupted the economy, trade and industry, led to closure of lakhs of factories and tens of millions of workers lost their jobs and livelihood. The unprecedented joblessness, agrarian crisis and distress of farmers and agricultural laborers are issues of grave national concern. The Modi government is guilty of monumental mismanagement of the Indian economy.

    No accountability at all for corruption during the last five years. Corruption has become rampant across the country. After the next Govt is formed all the skeletons in the BJP vast array of hidden cupboards will be exposed including the Rafale Scam.

    Modi Sarkar Ko Hatao. Desh Ko Bachao. They should be made accountable for over 100 deaths in ATM Ques after the Demoitisation.
