Myanmar closes international market Namphalong


Imphal, Apr 13 (IANS): The Myanmar authority on Saturday closed the international market, Namphalong, across the international gate no. 1 from 2 p.m.

Officials guarding the gate said that it was in connection with the water festival in Myanmar. The market will reopen on April 18.

The Namphalong market was closed ahead of the April 11 polls in Manipur and was reopened on Friday.
