Mangaluru: Shakthi School holds yoga classes for children in camp

Mangaluru, Apr 13: Shakthi Residential School, Shakthinagar here commenced its Yoga training in the ongoing ‘Shakthi can create 2019’summer camp.

The classes are held under the guidance of Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady at 8 am everyday. Children practice Chin Mudra, Prana Mudra, Jynana Murdra, Buddi Mudra and other such Mudras.

Gopalakrishna Delampady said that Yoga teaches discipline at a young age. “Students should practice yoga and parents should make them interested in it. I am glad that the residential school has included yoga in the summer camp. Yoga promotes health.”



130 children took part in the camp. Shakthi Education Trust administrator Bykady Janardhan Achar, Shakthi School principal Vidya G Kamath, camp officials Poornima, Poornesh and Priyanka Rai were present.
