New Delhi, Apr 15: Supreme Court issued a notice to Congress president Rahul Gandhi over his remarks against Narendra Modi on a contempt petition and sought Gandhi's response by April 22.
Earlier this week, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi requested the Supreme Court for criminal contempt action against Congress president Rahul Gandhi over his comments in the Rafale case.
In her petition, Meenakshi Lekhi claimed, "The words used and attributed by him to SC in the Rafale case has been made to appear as something else. He is replacing his personal statement as Supreme Court's order and trying to create prejudice."

As reported in ANI, SC has pointed out that the remark 'Chowkidar Modi is Chor' in Rafale deal, has been incorrectly attributed to the apex court by Gandhi. A bench led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi said that the court had not passed any remark against PM Narendra Modi, thus holding that Gandhi's statements were wrong.
