Mumbai: Mulund Kannada Sangha inaugurated

Mumbai, April 19: Chancellor of Sathyadhyana Vidyapeeta, Vidyasimhacharya inaugurated Mulund Kannada Sangha here. He hoped that the sangha will help to promote Kannada in the vicinity. Vidya Prasaraka Mandala honorary secretary B H Katti, said that the spread of Kannada groups and associations all over Mumbai like a banyan tree is a symbol of achievements by Kannadigas. He said that Kannada should be spoken in houses of Kannadigas here like flowing water.

Vidya Prasaraka mandala president Dr P M Kamath ligt the lamp. Former president Dr S Mohan, life time member Dr K Gidadubbi, Vidya Prasaraka mandala treasurer Professor C J Pai, co-treasurer N M Gudi were on the dais.

Principal of Vidya Prasaraka Mandala, teachers and Kannada fans were present.



V P M Sundaribai Manjunath Kamath Kannada primary school headmistress Aruna Bhat sang a prayer song. Secondary school headmistress Suvina Shetty and teacher Ashwini Bangera introduced the guests.

Teacher Sunita Math welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Teacher Chandrashekar Bannimata expressed her opinions. Mandala chief honorary secretary Pramod Mulugunda proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded after the National Anthem.
