Mumbai, Apr 22: Pravin Kumar Shetty, though residing in Dubai for business purpose, arrived at his hometown Vakwadi, Kundapur for the elections to cast his vote. He has become a model in voting for the young generation of the country. He is one among several non resident Indians who arrived only to cast their votes. He exercised his franchise at a polling booth in Vakwadi this time.
Speaking to Yogish Kumbhashi of Kannadiga world, he said that hundreds of Kannadigas came down to their hometowns from Dubai for voting. “There were 26 people from Udupi in the flight and praises to Modi could be heard. We will be proud to see him as the prime minister. We are getting more respect in Dubai after Modi came to power.”
“Voting has increased in the Vidhan Sabha constituency. Those who have gone abroad for jobs are voting and have shown that development is possible. The will for voluntary voting among people has increased,” he said.
