Bhopal, Apr 23: A Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) worker was thrashed after he allegedly protested against Bhopal constituency BJP candidate Pragya Singh Thakur by waving black flags during her roadshow.
A video going viral shows BJP cadres slapping the NCP worker at the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) office in Bhopal. The police intervene and escort the worker to safety.
Sadhvi Pragya who filed her nomination from the constituency at an ‘auspicious time’ on Monday, formally filed the papers on Tuesday April 23. She also held a road show.
BJP was criticised for enrolling Pragya to the party on April 17 and awarding her a ticket as she is one of the accused in 2008 Malegaon blast case and is currently out on bail.

Recently, Pragya triggered a controversy with remarks regarding the Babri Masjid demolition. She also accused Ashoka Chakra recipient and slain IPS officer Hemant Karkare of torturing her in custody.
Pragya has been issued notices by the Election Commission for violating the Model Code of Conduct.
