Bhopal, Apr 24: While addressing a public rally in Bhopal on Tuesday, BJP leader Sadhvi Pragya said, “Women are being tortured and numerous atrocities were committed upon them. They are being exploited and raped. I am a living example of the pain inflicted on women. I have gone through that pain.

“Now I have come because I want no woman to be tortured by these criminals.

Former chief minister and BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also present at the rally.

On Tuesday, Thakur filed her nomination papers from Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency. She was accompanied by her supporters and her advocate.

Ever since the candidature of Sadhvi Pragyas from Bhopal constituency in Madhya Pradesh was confirmed, many condemned BJP for fielding an 'accused' in the Malegaon blast case as a hidden Hindutva agenda of the party.

Earlier, her narration about the ordeal in jail went viral when she broke down and said, “When they illegally took me into custody they kept me there for 13 days. On the very first day, without asking any question, they thrashed me with a belt.”
