Mangaluru: Lifeguards at Ullal beach rescue two Mysuru women

Mangaluru, Apr 26: In a heroic act, the lifeguards at Mogaveerapatna beach in Ullal near here on Friday April 26 rescued two women.

The women, hailing from Mysuru, had been to the beach on an outing.

As the beach began crowding with tourists and visitors, the lifeguards warned them against getting into the water. However, the tourist group from Mysuru did not pay heed and went into the sea, it is said.

The two women who were part of the group got washed away. Fortunately, the alert lifeguards rushed to their rescue and brought them to safety.

Prasad Suvarna of coastal regulation body, Ullal Lifeguard Society's Shashidhar Karkera, Naveen Amin, Jitendra Bangera, Mohan Putran and Suresh were part of the rescue team.
