Mehbooba accuses Congress, NC of weakening Art 370

Srinagar, Apr 27 (IANS): Former Chief Minister and President of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday accused the Congress and the National Conference (NC) of weakening article 370 that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to the media, Mehbooba said that while Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad had weakened article 370 by allotting thousands of kanals of land to the Amarnath Shrine Board in 2008, it was the NC that had surrendered the titles of 'Wazir-e-Azam' and 'Sadr-e-Riyasat' in 1975.

The PDP President said it was her party that saved article 370 and 35A during the two years she ruled the state in coalition with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

She is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Anantnag constituency where the first phase of the three-phased voting was held on April 23.

The second phase of voting in Anantnag is scheduled for April 29 and the last phase on May 6.

Mehbooba Mufti is challenged by Ghulam Ahmed Mir of the Congress and Justice (Retired) Hasnain Masoodi of the NC among other candidates.

Congress at least weakened the Article 370 by allocating land to Amarnath Shrine.
But what Feku's Gang and BJP did? Any Feku bhakth can explain? They barked all over India in their election manifesto that they will cancel Aticle 370 and did nothing.
    Aam khanewala Chowkidar CHOR hai.

Special status for what?? Kashmiris are studying all over India just to hate the freebies they get from tax payers of India??? India will be safe once both these articles are scrapped. It can save lot of money and subsidy that can be partially used for the development of Kashmir too. BJP and Modi should show courage not only talks!

Modi is opportunist to form a coalition Government with her for 2 years....this period was used by her to strengthen terrorists in the Kashmir valley!!!...

Sooner she is sent to Pakistan...better for India ,,, along with Abdulla's...Sooner the better...

You are right...Modi is just talking during election speeches...so far not tough with terrorists of Kashmir...

What should be done... declare Martial law in Kashmir for 1 year....and dismiss ALL State Government employees …. including State Police...appoint new ones....I bet Mehbooba and Abdulla's will voluntarily go to Pakistan same way now terrorists are coming from Pakistan…

    ...Tak...Takk...

Mufti and Abdullah family are dangerous to Kashmir.

They never developed Kashmir nor do they have any plan to help Kashmiri people. They will keep Kashmir as a troubled area and exploit it for their self interests.

They do not accept Indian constitution but only wants to get benefit from rest of India's tax payer money.

It is time to tackle them and save Kashmir.
