Asansol, Apr 29: Union Minister Babul Supriyo’s car was damaged in a clash that broke out outside polling booth number 199 in West Bengal on Monday morning.

In a video posted by ANI, TMC and BJP workers clashed with each other after Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers attacked Babul Supriyo in Asansol and damaged his vehicle while on his way to a polling booth in Barabani.

"Mamata Banerjee is scared of democracy, that is why this is happening," Supriyo told reporters from his car.

It is reported that the sudden clash happened due to a disagreement between BJP and CPM workers when Trinamool workers insisted that voting should be held despite absence of central forces.

Security personnel and QRF (Quick Reaction Forces) outside polling booth number 125-129 in Asansol dispersed the crowd after they lathi-charged outside polling booth number 125-129 in Asansol following the clashes.
