Modi 'chowkidar' of only 15 corrupt persons: Rahul

Panna/Damoh/Tikamgarh (IANS) , May 1 (IANS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a "chowkidar" (watchman) who guards the interests of only 15 corrupt persons and not that of the country at large,

Addressing election rallies in Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh, Gandhi said: "I want to make direct relation with crores of farmers, small traders, youth, sisters and mothers, and I won't lie to them as I know that relationships can't be based on falsehood. But Narendra Modi thinks otherwise...he lies and spreads hatred all around.

"He is 'chowkidar' for only 15 corrupt persons and guards their interests. I am yours, while Modi is theirs. He wants to create two Indias -- one of the poor, farmers and unemployed youth, and the other of the corrupt."

The Congress chief also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and the big businessmen who fled the country after taking bank loans. He asked Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath to take action against those ministers of the previous BJP government in the state who allegedly misappropriated the Bundelkhand package funds.

He said: "During demonetisation, it was said that it's a fight against black money. If it was true, then why didn't people like Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi were seen in bank queues? Amit Shah's son Jay Shah makes Rs 80 crore from Rs 50,000 in a matter of three months, Choksi sends money to Arun Jaitley's daughter's account and Vijay Mallya meets Jaitley before fleeing the country. All this must be explained..."

Gandhi maintained that while big businessmen are at large after committing crime, in sharp contrast a farmer is put behind bars if he is not able to pay back 5,000 to 10,000 rupees. "Why this double standard...because farmers are honest people and not thieves?"

The slogan of "achhe din" during the last election has completely changed now, he said, adding: "Now, if I just say mention 'chowkidar', people say 'chor hai'."

    110% correct.
He is a person ruling and fooling and leading the country with many unseen natures with in one personality. No.1 manipulative qualities yet finds faults in others hiding his own faults. Only intention to achieve greater powers to dominate and impose rules on others.

Modi Bhakths are seeking votes in Modi's name. Why?

Terrorism : Today terrorists are striking military targets. Earlier they targeted soft civilian targets. It shows they are emboldened under globetrotter Modi.

Economy : It is in absolute bad state today. Debt trap in which Modi has put India, will be one day a disaster. Non-congress govt., twice, mortgaged gold with IMF, each time congress bought it back. It will be hard to do so, with the extent of trap that is hanging on us today.

Jobs : Forget new jobs for youth. The guys who had jobs earlier, many of them lost their jobs and livelihood. All because of faulty policies of Modi Govt.

Farmers : Modi Govt., is the one govt., that wants farmers to let go their land for cheap to Industrialists. What do we eat? Mobile phones? They are distressed to the core, Modi has different plans.

Institutions : Democratic institutions built in past years, to safe guard individual rights and countries progress, are all gone or on the way to collapse. Yes, they were plagued by corruption earlier, now corruption plus dictator ship, making them defunct.

Modi himself asking educated youth to sell pakoda's, where is this vision taking us?

The people chanting Modi Modi today will be gone in another 20-30years with due process of aging, but the crap they leave behind will be hard for the future generation to come out of.

It is common to seek votes on a leader. In 70s and 80s all chaddiless used to beg votes on the name of "Indiramma". All mahamilavat candidates seek vote on their respective leaders like "netaji" behan""naidu" HDD"or nidderamayya and rarely on pappu's name. In some remote places even today khangress beg votes on "Indira ma"
