Kamal Nath points to Modi's poor general knowledge

By Sundeep Pouranik

Bhopal, May 2 (IANS): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's poor general knowledge in a tweet.

Addressing a gathering in Itarasi, Hoshangabad, on Wednesday, Modi had said, "The son of this soil, national poet Maithili Sharan Gupt had said strive and you would achieve your goal, there is no point getting disappointed (Nar ho na nirash karo man ko, kuch kaam karo, kuch kaam karo)."

"One can earn respect and name through hrad work, this is our culture, these are our etiquettes," he said.

In the tweet, the Chief Minister said, "Today addressing a gathering in Itarasi you said national poet Maithili Sharan Gupt was from there. But he was born on August 3, 1886 in UP's Chirgaon."
