Madikeri: Harassment of actress Harshika Poonacha - one arrested

Madikeri, May 4: Cine actress, Harshika Poonacha, has alleged that two persons harassed her during her stay at a resort at Neerukolli in the taluk on Thursday May 2 night.

On the basis of complaint filed by Harshika, the police arrested a person identified as Bansi Nanaiah, who allegedly behaved indecently with her. The other accused is missing.

 

Harshika had come to the town to participate in the engagement ceremony of a relative on Thursday night. She and another actor, Bhuvan, had stayed at the said resort. During this period, two persons approached her and misbehaved with her, she said. When Bhuvan expressed resentment at their behaviour and asked them to behave themselves, they assaulted him.

Bhuvan and Harshika left for Bengaluru after Bhuvan was treated at the district hospital here. A case about the incident has been registered in the rural police station here, and the police are now on the lookout for the absconding accused.
