New Delhi, May 5: Congress president Rahul Gandhi has sensitively hit out at PM Narendra Modi for targeting his father, former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted "Modi Ji, The battle is over. Your Karma awaits you. Projecting your inner beliefs about yourself onto my father won’t protect you. All my love and a huge hugs. Rahul." Rahul’s sister and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also condemned PM’s comment on her father and said the people of Amethi will give a befitting reply to Modi.
PM Narendra Modi, at a rally in UP’s Pratapgarh on Saturday, had blamed Rahul Gandhi of trying to tarnish his image over the Rafale fighter jet deal. News agency PTI quoted him saying, “Your father was termed ‘Mr Clean’ by his courtiers, but his life ended as ‘Bhrastachari number 1’ (corrupt number 1).”
