Bunts Bahrain New Managing Committee Takes Charge

Bahrain, Apr 5: Bunts Bahrain celebrated induction ceremony of their new managing committee at Ramada Palace Hotel on April 2, 2009

The programme started at 8.45pm with a prayer song by the ladies of Bunts Community followed by classical dance known as Krishna Leela by Sunina K. B. Shetty followed by Kannada Song by Amaranath Rai from “Ghandad Ghudi”  Kannada Film, and a small skit played by Bunts member.








































Pradeep Kumar Shetty president of the Association escorted chief guest of the evening Vittal S. Hedge, who is the president of Bunts Sangha at Belgaum, is also a hotelier and a businessman in  Belgaum – Karnataka, vice president Subaschandra Shetty escorted Ajay Kumar 1st Secretary of Indian Embassy – Bahrain and Soman Baby associated editor of Gulf Daily  News to the dias. Arun Shetty, general secretary delivered his welcome speech and honored flower bouquet to the invited guests and he requested all Bunts Community members to help the committee in whatever possible ways.


The new committee was introduced by Krishna Shetty and requested Ajay Kumar – 1st Secretary to pinning the badges to all the committee members and as a tradition all the dignitaries to light the lamp including past presidents of the association. 

Pradeep Kumar Shetty delivered his presidential speech giving brief about the association, which was established on 23rd February 2002 by Ramanatha Rai, and as on today there are 500 members, the main motto of the association is to have a close connection among the member and to help needy families in their native place. Bunts Bahrain conducts Bachelor party, Annual picnic, Satyanarayan Pooja, Blood donation drive, Family cricket and Annual day. He also requested all members to help the charity cause and distributed the appeal forms to the members during the function. 

Bunts Bahrain honoured Vittal S. Hedge with shawl, fruits and memento to him, chief guest Vittal S. Hegde briefed his own story to the audience, he started the hotel business at the age of 8th year at Barkur – Udipi district and today he is the owner of 40 restaurants, hotels in Belgaum, Rani Benur, Gadag and in Barkur. He is having a plan to develop Barkur as a tourist place since this place was ruled by the King , Bhootala Pandya. He gave a small advise to the young bunts to work hard, but with sincerity. Later on Soman Baby and Vijay M. Shetty honoured with mementos.

Ajay Kumar 1st Secretary, thanked the community members for the wonderful function and he advised all the members of the community to work sincerely, and not have difference among themselves.

Praveen S. Shetty Asst. Gen Secretary gave vote of thanks at the end of induction ceremony.
