N. Korea fires unidentified projectiles: Seoul


Seoul, May 9 (IANS): North Korea on Thursday fired unidentified projectiles in the eastern direction, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said.

Pyongyang fired the projectiles "from the North Pyongan province in the eastern direction at 4.30 p.m. today", Yonhap News Agency quoted the JCS as saying.

The firing came five days after Pyongyang fired a barrage of short-range projectiles into the East Sea.
