Mangaluru, May 9: “It is an exciting time for the IPL fans of the city, as IPL fan park for the cricket enthusiasts is getting set up for May 10 at Nehru Maidan,” said Prashanth, BCCI representative of IPL Fan Park.

He was addressing the media here on Thursday, May 9.

"IPL live match will be streamed live on a giant screen and IPL fans can feel the atmosphere of the stadium,” he added.

"The Park gives the fans, living far away from the live action, the experience of reliving the excitement and an atmosphere that comes while watching an IPL match with friends and family at a public location,” he informed.

“The qualifier 1 match between Chennai Super Kings Vs Delhi Capital will be streamed live on the giant screen. The Fan Park is a BCCI property and is created to boost the game's popularity across all cities in India and to reach out to almost all the fans situated in different parts of the country,” said Prashanth.

"Over 10,000 fans are expected to visit the IPL Fan Park at Nehru Maidan. The entry will be free. They have to register at the entrance to avail lucky coupons. IPL Fan Park has paid food, beverage stalls and music. The fans will be able to feel as if they are in the stadium,” he added.

“There will be special seating arrangements for the senior citizens and differently-abled people. There will also be a lucky draw where the winning fans will get VIVO mobile phones,” concluded Prashanth.

Representatives of Mangaluru premier League Imthiyaz and Siraj were also present.

Here the issue is KSCA do not want to invest outside Bengaluru. KSCA ground is their milking cow and if they build new stadium outside Bengaluru, they may loose control over that stadium.
First of all KSCA should register all District team under KSCA. That is the basic. Udupi players are still represented through DK, likewise other districts also. No proper Modern process has been used. Still olden BABU's rule is applied and officials just enjoying Association perks and enjoying. All connections and BABUGIRI.

Looking at the growth of other cities by this time Mangaluru should have had a full fledged international cricket stadium. Sad to see it has to be contented with just a fan park.
